The Golden Triangle is the ground between Ballarat, Bendigo and Castlemaine that produced much of Victoria's gold in the nineteenth century. 200ktpa means the plant is built to treat about 200,000 tonnes of ore a year. A grade of 28g/t is 28 grams of gold in every tonne of rock, which is very high by modern standards, and it is a historical production figure for the district rather than a current reserve grade.
