Tusker Minerals Limited (ASX: TSK)

Tusker Minerals Limited (ASX: TSK), formerly DY6 Metals Ltd, is an African-focused explorer advancing a portfolio of critical mineral assets in Cameroon and Malawi.

The company's flagship project is the Central Rutile Project, a district-scale opportunity with confirmed high-grade rutile and prime infrastructure in Cameroon. Rutile is the titanium mineral used to make titanium dioxide pigment and titanium metal.

In addition, the company's Douala Basin Heavy Mineral Sands (HMS) Project is a 2,580km² project within 50km of a deep-water port, with significant historical drill intercepts. Heavy mineral sands, which we shorten to HMS, are sand deposits in which weathering and water have concentrated the dense minerals, rutile and zircon and ilmenite among them. Being near a deep-water port matters because these are bulk products and freight is a large part of the cost.

In Malawi, Tusker has entered a binding agreement with AuKing Mining Limited (ASX: AKN) for the proposed sale of 100% of the Machinga Rare Earth Elements Project, comprising exclusive prospecting licences EPL 0529 and EPL 0705, for total consideration stated as up to A$4 million.
